#FOODWITHYL

Hello I'm back from Taiwan and my surgery!

Because im damn efficient i finished editing my vlogs in one whole day LOL.

Actually im supposed to rest my eyes but lol

So I will upload my vlogs before I blog about it because I this post of photos to clear!

Went to Rise and Grind for brunch few weeks back I think. It's at BTP!

Like opposite DBS de ulu corner lolol u can see from the reflection

Very small cafe with outside seating avail I think (beyond this glass door)

After that I changed seats with him bcos I saw wah his side lighting better HAHAHAHHA

Organic Sparkling Juice ($5.50)

Dunno his brain go where bcos he ordered his bitter lemons or something (which I judge everytime) and then he didnt realise they served him the wrong drink until he drank it

????????????? can so sotong meh

Truffle Parmesan Fries ($9)

These were okay only so I wont order again :-( The fries were not crisp and a bit soggy leh actually

So far the best truffle I've had is still at PARK and Forty Hands

Croissant w Scrambled Egg and Mesclun Salad ($8)

Scrambled eggs were yummy!

Pulled Pork Shoulder Benedict ($15)

w apple cider hollandaise on sourdough toast

This was YL's but I loved this!!! So in the end we switched plates because he liked my dish more too

I usually dont like pulled pork but this was guuuuuuuud

Sourdough a bit tough but i think its my teeth lolol

Wouldve preferred the spinach sauteed instead but its ok

ALSO the hollandaise is not drowning the eggs which i am very appreciative of bcos im not a fan of hollandaise. Tastes like yellow mayo to me LOL

This is a MUST ORDER DISH!!!!!!!! MUST!!!!!

I almost didnt order it bcos scared no space ah originally I wanted to try their waffles too but in the end I picked this over the waffles

SO GLAD I DID BCOS THIS IS DA BOMBBBBB

Better than Lola's wings imo!! Sweet and spicy sauce and crispy at the same time omgggg

And the meat is super juicy too.

But bcos I cant take spice these were a bit too spicy for me I died after my second one lol like completely KO i cannot anymore

T______________T very sad lah bcos damn nice leh end up YL finished the rest ma de kio tio lololol

So ya i loved this and i highly reco u all order!

YL and I went to Saboten few months back because we were craving for katsu.

And this was the nearest place with supposedly good katsu... lazy to leave west as usual can

But im glad i came here bcos im so happy i found a place with good katsu AT CRAZY CHEAP PRICE

YL had his cabbage salad with the sauce that came with it i dunno what is it

I on the other hand dont eat salad so only pose for photo

Then I thought I would try having it with the tonkatsu sauce

This is mine because I usually prefer chicken

Ok anyway for the food itself right both pork and chicken were really crisp!

I remember the saba shio was nice too but I cannot remember if the soup was yums anot leh...

But confirm better than Sushi Tei's. Theirs cmi wtf

Just that the pork's very much tougher than the chicken so a bit hard for braces me to bite wtf.

But actually I felt that the pork was more flavourful which was understandable bcos they were famous for their pork instead

Lol is it got grinding competition

Dessert was this red bean thingy which was SO GOOD I CLEARED BOTH MYSELF HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Dunno is it really YL dont like as he says or he just wna give me the pig eat lolololol i loved thissss so sweet and i usually dont like mochi but this was so nice

Not too chewy, just nice!

Another day last month!!! We went to Marche because originally we wanted to go to Fat Boys for burgers but they dont open til late afternoon I think so we just went to JEM again lol omg so boring

Take so many but actually is the same face

I've had marche lunch menu before la so actually I wanted to try their breakfast menu one....

BUT YL wanted steak so ok wait til lunch time hor.

But i know this is beef bolognese. Quite yums but is impossible to win my pizza hehehe

The other table beside us ordered the same thing as us after they pointed to the waiter at our table. Lol copycat hahahahaha

YL damn annoyed because mine was significantly larger than his ahahahahahahahaha so I dont have photos of him bcos he angry hahahahahaha omg so funny this guy
