Came to Palais Renaissance for YL's early bday dinner 2 months ago!

Because we couldn't decide where to go so town is the easiest LOL

We wanted to go Fullerton initially but didn't make reservations early enough boohoooooo. Nvm ba next time!

As you can see the lighting is minimal - the worst scenario for my photos LOL

On the left side there's a door to a stairwell so of course kpo me must ask about it.

She told me it's because the cafe opens til later than the building, so that is the exit for their later customers.

Oh we're sitting outside in the balcony area instead of the main restaurant bcos the lighting inside is SO DARK LOL

Lulu's 'Leftovers' Lasagne ($28++)

ground beef and garden vegetables in herb pesto, spicy caramelised meatballs served w penne pasta in rich chunky tomato sauce, bacon and mozzarella cheese topped w dollop of basil pesto

YL's one i didnt eat so i got nothing to comment about this dish

Tiger Beer-Battered Fish & Chips ($32++)

crispy snapper fillets and veggie sticks served w homemade tartar sauce and kaffir lime aioli

Serving size was GIANT. Can see not? 3 LARGE FILLETS

I honestly think you can share this main among 2 ppl bcos the fillets are huge and there were not 2 but 3 fillets wtf

PS Truffle Shoestring Fries ($15++)

Actually this was upgraded from my fish and chips but I don't remember how much more I paid for the truffle leh? So i just copy the original plate of truffle fries price lol

I ordered it bcos they're supposedly famous for their truffle BUT TBH........... i think it's so-so la not really the best truffle fries i've had! Nice la, but i don't think this is a must-order

Crushed Mint & Lime Soda ($9.50++)

i THINK this is the drink YL ordered LOL IM NOT SURE I FORGOT ALR HAHA anyway their fruit sodas are mostly same price so about there la!

I forgot to write down the price of the cake leh but I googled and got this price so shld be correct la lolol

The cake was SO, SO SO MUCH FOR 2 PAX. I think can share among 3ppl actually! So big slice also!

Or maybe we were too full alr!!! SO GELAT LOL THE CHOCOLATE IS NO JOKE eat until damn xinku because super duper full liao la! Couldn't finish fol

But this is really really for chocolate lovers. Super duper chocolatey!!

I just ordered this bcos it's their most famous one and it's really very rich LOL

Al in all I feel that we completely overordered for 2 pax and if I'm ever back here again I will def share a main with someone LOL

Bcos very early dont have much ppl so can take even more photos

We're here so early to try the famous soymilk breakfast place in Huashan Market

We didn't finish the youtiao i think bcos really not nice. It tastes different from SG youtiaos, its not doughy at all. It was light and crisp and super oily.

Dunno but to me I wanna taste the doughy part of youtiao ma so this got no feel

So from whatever I've tried, I think the milk and egg is nice but don't think its worth the queue

But then again I've never tried other stuff la like their 饼 those so maybe those are nice?

If you watched my vlog you know this guy came us all in the queue and gave us samples of their stuff

Damn smart hor! Somemore the shop is located near the exit so its like naturally u will walk past and prolly enter esp since u had their samples

Their 凤梨酥 not bad tbh! I usually like the sweet ones but their sour ones were surprisingly better. Not too tart also.

When you're in XMD, come here for ice and won't go wrong one! There are a lot of tourists actually to the point whereby they mistook us for Koreans. Got so chio ma

We were only level 1 that day but they have stairs to basement with a lot more seats

Their fruits are super fresh and sweet as compared to SG

After that we went to get our hair fixed lolz at this hair salon/cafe that looks the most legit (bcos so big)

Then reception will bring u up to level 3 which is the salon

RIGHT BELOW our hotel is this place selling 胡椒饼 and every time we pass by it we say we wna buy but its always sold out at that point in time

Bcos they are done in batches? Every 30min so once u miss the time then u need to wait for the next batch

Bcos its our last morning here liao this morning Jo woke up early and chiong down to go and get the 胡椒饼 HAHAHAHAAHA

She say she damn heng bcos the crowd only came AFTER HER! WOOHOO early bird gets the worm!

REALLY IS VERY EARLY DE LOOK AT HER FACE HAHAHAHA

Omg SO GOOD LA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAY 5

Then one hour later (3am) we had to wake up FOL bcos we had an early flight

ACtually no leh i rmb jo didn't even sleep for that 1 hour omg SIAO WOMAN

Clearing leftover food in the fridge for breakfast wtf

Anyway this egg liar ah where got oozy yolk LOL??

Can u believe we lugged all our stuff to the bus terminal ourselves

at 3am

It's damn far no joke I vlogged our journey there and i think it took away 80% of our energy
