Forty Hands + Nana's Green Tea

Last week I met up with phoonie for lunch!!!!

We went to Forty Hands because ive wanted to go there since forever but never got around to it

The entrance was a bit dull looking LOL but then after i entered then the cafe never 走阳光路线 also la not those bright concepts

Theres more outdoor seating beyond that glass door, but we sat inside instead because it was way too hot that day wtf

They give u the wooden block to indicate your order/table no but the tables are metal and we kept dropping the blocks on accident then is likeBANG BANG BANG LOL very paiseh

Truffle Mac and Cheese with squid ink brioche crumbs ($15)

NOTICE I NEVER PUT ++ BCOS NO GST

Phoonie got this and it was very truffle-y and cheesyyyyyyyyy

They were generous with their truffle which is good!!!!!! Omnomnomnom

Eggs Benedict with bacon, spinach and roasted potatoes ($17)

on the menu it says the potatoes were spicy but they heard me asking about it and the cashier very nicely gave me non spicy ones!!!!! A1++++++

This was one of the best eggs benny ive ever eaten

i dont eat like a lot a lot of eggs benny also la so maybe i cant judge but is really like up there in my opinion if i compare it to all the other eggs benny ive eaten

i hardly rave abt eggs benny bcos they are so standard and boring right but this is rly goooooood

(PS. i always request hollandaise separate bcos i dont like it overpowering my eggs)

Truffle fries ($9)

this was SUCH a value for money u guys?!?!?!?1?!

we couldnt finish the entire bucket of fries and the truffle is really 够力 one

even though until now i think PARK cafe has the best truffle fries but that one more ex lor

this is like affordable and decent truffle fries which actually taste like truffle

plus points!!!!!!!!!!

the menu had other food i wanted to try as well but didnt bcos too full such as french toast and their SALAD

guys u know i hate salad and i never ever order it but theirs looked so good?!

if one day im feeling healthier (hahahaha wtf) i will defo try it!!!!!

then we went to sephora tgt we are destined to be makeup buddies

Night time i was shopping by myself in JEM then YL came to find me bcos he booked out early that day

bcos i always take 2 hours in hnm yl got irritated (as usual LOLOL) bcos he was rly hungry so we went to basement to find food and he literally pulled me into the first shop

so Yoshinoya for dinner!!!!!!

we also met sijia and kokmei bcos they were in JEM too

LOLOL IDK WHY THEIR FACE THE SAME DAMN FUNNY HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

i alr see kokmei until i sian alr LOLOL so very nice to see sijia after so looooooooong

but kokmei selfie skills not bad hor!!!!!!!!!! give u A*!!!

the next day YL said to me 'lets go on a date' and i was like SEMO????? CAN U REPEAT AGAIN??????

with ref to my vday post u should know how much of an unromantic he is, so that coming from him is like i tio 4D

BUT i kena scam la.......... i thought what he gonna do sia date in the end we just went eating and shopping WTS i still thought up game liao

but anyway that day i had a lot of errands to run too la very busy i spent so much buying birthday presents for many ppl like erm

自己都没有买东西

we went to JP first bcos i ended my tutoring there and i had stuff to buy

we were (AS USUAL) contemplating on what to eat for a good half an hour in the end also didnt eat at JP wtf

but we walked past this Jap stall selling choco bananas so i bought it bcos ive never seen it sold there!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHA i forgot what he saying liao

like ok ok lor!!!! just like how a chocobanana would taste like

after he bought his stuff too we headed to town for lunch and of cos he played pokemon the whole way there

pls don judge me but we had sushi tei for lunch again LOLOLOLOL

this time is him who wanted to eat ok!!!!!!!

he said that bcos of eating so much jap food with me he has grown to like it MUAHAHAHAH

so ugly dk what i saying liao la probably something like are u taking a pic of me

so now can pose liao!!!!!!!! lol

u guys we have accomplished something very big.......................... our total bill came up to $40+ WTF

not showing off or anything hor but bcos we ALWAYS ALWAYS overorder but this time i think we didnt!!!!!!!!!!!!

very very very very happy with ourselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yl was like huh how much again to the cashier bcos our bills are always $70 and above. Lol

really very happy we kept giggling to each other bcos too happy finally we never overorder AND SAVED MONEY WAHAHAHA

^ idk what kind of chipmunk smile is that damn irritating cannot smile like normal human

anyway just as i was speaking of managing to save money we went to Nana's Green Tea later in the night for dessert (so actually net gain is zero fml)

Azuki Latte ($6.50++)

this was ok!! like red bean milk lor. quite nice especially after i tried the parfait wtf

Hoji Gateaux Chocolat Parfait ($13.80++)

kanten jelly, soft serve vanilla, cornflakes, hoji ice cream, hoji chocolate cake, hoji bean paste, whipped cream, hoji syrup

i was very upset with myself because from the menu i saw it was brown mah not green and i HATE matcha so i thought omg theres a dessert for me!!!!!!

i can drink normal iced green tea but i really hate matcha

then i thought it was chocolate?! in the end i think hoji meant roasted green tea or something?!

OMG depressed de so my whole cup of parfait was essentially made up of roasted green tea........ which still is matcha

fml wo hen sad i ended up only eating the cornflakes and vanilla soft serve beneath bcos everything else was matcha?! LOL

YL likes matcha so he finished everything else and he especially liked their ice cream. so i think if u all like matcha too then it would be nice!!!!

i tried a bite of the jelly, bean paste and ice cream and all tasted like matcha to me lor

if i had to choose one, the bean paste was the nicest bcos i think they added a lot of sugar so the matcha taste was the least strong. it tasted like mochi with a bit of green tea
