The Sushi Bar + Tai Parfait

Sunday 28 December 2014

(i typed this post like one week ago but forgot abt it)

First of all thank youuuuuu sooo muchhhhhh for alllllll of the texts!!!!!!!!!!!
Soooooo many ppl texted me about my grandparents and im very very grateful!!!!
I'm sorry i didnt reply any of it immediately because im not feeling it :-(

Grandpa is discharged!!!!! And he says he's walking fine now.
My grandpa loves to go out and about so he's back at it again lol

Grandma on the other hand.... (just FYI grandpa is my daddy's papa, grandma is my mummy's mama)
She was sent in ICU because her stomach ulcer became bigger and the hole was bleeding more....
she's diabetic as well, so it's especially hard to conduct a surgery for her age....

I've been to the hospital so many times these past 3 weeks and i really hate that place lol
I get so overwhelmed by how frail life is....
So i hope u all pls hold close the ones dear to u. Ok?

On a lighter note!!!!!

One day I wanted to bring YL to breadyard because i heard they serve reaaaaaaly good bread and everybody loves bread. ok lah i talking about myself
We were really hungry OK LA just lazy to take public transport so we cabbed there in excitement!!!!!

THEN............... THE PLACE WAS CLOSED THAT DAY OMG FOL
i think it was a PH or something....... OMG super unhappy de
so if u all want to go plz don be like me
wasted cab fee + few hours being hungry because we couldnt decide where to go next
haizzzzzzzzzzzz

ANYWAY eventually we decided we would go to FEP for sushi at The Sushi Bar!!!!
because sushi makes everything better
I was pretty afraid that there would be a crazy queue (based on what i read online) but lucky i walk fast so the queue formed immediately after me!! Lol cheap thrill!!

just saying i hate this kind of cheapo-feeling menu????? i personally think the menu is super impt in influencing my appetite then i see the menu budget like this zzzzzzzzz

NOT saying that all menus should be expensively manufactured or anything but i think a proper cover at the very least would be good?? bcos first impression counts right???

anw the place was a little too intimate for comfort LOL like i had to sit with strangers at the exact same table???
reminds me of tori king at 100am
it wasnt even like the place was very small at all! if u look at one of the pix above u can see there is pathway in the middle for the servers??
such an unnecessary waste of huge space but oh well

YL got the Chirashi Don ($24.90++) which had salmon belly tuna hamachi scallop mekajiki ikura tamago (i copied this from the menu lol)
I didnt get much of a taste because i dont eat raw fish but YL said it was a tad bit too overwhelming. U can see clearly the fish overpowers the entire dish lol cannot even see the rice!!

I got the Ebi Fry Salmon Aburi rolls ($16.90++) and they were pretty daaaaaaarn gooooood
Mentaiko was tad bit too strong for me but im biased bcos i dont like mayo. Lol
This plate was also surprisingly filling!!!!

All in all so-so experience...... so dont think that i'll return there often u know what i mean

Afterwards we walked to ION for snacks lolol and we looooooooveeeeee auntie annes
we buy it almost whenever we see it
and we always buy the same cinnamon pretzel wtf so predictable

^ lololol wtf

then we walked even more and YL also damn indecisive lah when we passed by Tangs i CLEARLY asked if he wanted donuts and he said no then after we exited Tangs he said he felt like them now

Lol

THEN i felt like eating tai parfait instead because i saw it on instagram hahahahahahhaa WTS do u see how much we eat
so we went down to Bugis!

YUMMERS!!!!!!! AND ITS PINK!!!!!!!!!! APPROVE x100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The taiyaki was warm and crispy on the outside soft on the inside then the ice cream and chocolate syrup was cold omgggggggggg delishhhhhhhh

the serving is quite small but i think its worth it!!!!! yumssssss

Abrupt end lolol wtf. Update again soon!Xx
